Hello again,
There is some new information for this week, but this is also a reminder of the info I sent out last week. I wanted to be sure that you were aware of what's going on.
Today, Sunday, October 11 from 6-8:30, there will be a regional gathering of Voice of the Martyrs at the Loudonville Community Church. The plan is to gather at Hope Church at 5PM and carpool there. This sounds like a very interesting event. One of the speakers will be Garcia Burnham who was captured in the Philippines with her husband, and held for a year before being released. Her husband was not as fortunate. There is additional information on the bulletin board at the church.
On October 17, the church is having a work day that will involve a lot of different jobs. There will be work at the church such as starting the roofing, as well as painting. This will start at 8AM. Also, there will be work going on at the Turner's house. This will include clean up, minor repairs, and painting. This is being done by an area organization that has requested assistance from the church. There will be more information in the bulletin.
FYI: Lincoln Brewster will be performing at Abundant Life Church at 7:30 on Wednesday, October 21. When I spoke with a lady at the church, she said there are still tickets available, but if you are interested in going, get your tickets soon. I heard an advertisement for this event on Pulse 96.7, and it sounds like a great time. General admission is $20. There is also a $30 ticket that allows more access. This is not a youth group activity, but I wanted to let you know about it since it is in the area.
On Saturday, November 7 the youth group will be having a Persecution Night. It will basically be an opportunity to experience what some members of the Christian Church experience, so that a greater awareness can be felt. This will begin about 5, and we will also be viewing a movie about Columbia.
