We have all kinds of questions about God's laws in the Old Testament and how to apply them as followers of Jesus. The Ten Commandments, found in Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5, describe the good life lived in relationship with God. These Ten Words from God are designed to order the chaos that sin causes.
This life is good because God's ethical demands are calling us to imitate the God who is good! In other words, God is forming us into a people who are holy as God is holy, beautiful as God is beautiful, loving as God is loving, just as God is just and wise as God is wise.
For all of that to happen, we need Jesus, who fulfilled God's law for us! So let's use the ten commandments to meditate on the gospel and see how Jesus transforms us!
